Island Tech Services Acquires Coastal Electronics, Expanding Vehicle Upfitting Capabilities Across Maine and New England
June 15, 2026 — Island Tech Services today announced the acquisition of Coastal Electronics, Inc. of Maine, a respected provider of vehicle upfitting, mobile communications, emergency equipment installation, and fleet solutions. The acquisition significantly expands Island Tech Services' vehicle upfitting capabilities and reinforces its commitment to serving public safety agencies, municipalities, utilities, and commercial fleet operators throughout the region and marks the company's ninth operating location.
The combination brings together two organizations with deep expertise in fleet technology integration, emergency vehicle equipment installation, communications systems, and custom vehicle solutions.
